Synopsis:

‘The primarchs of the Legiones Astartes are legendary beings who have led the Emperor’s armies through the galaxy, conquering it in His name.
The men who have served such human gods are the mightiest warriors ever in mankind history, every round fired by their guns has been a step towards man supremacy, every blade slicing through xenos flesh a demonstration of the Emperor’s superiority.’

Liber Astartes.

Ironically, the only legacy of these epic deeds of Man resides now in the soul-twisted warriors known as Renegade Legions. Once those who spread the word of the Emperor upon the stars, they are now His darkest threat, the ultimate bane of His kingdom, guided by hatred and an infinite, endless desire of revenge against the so-called father who forsook them all so long ago.
So, for more than ten thousands years, a savage war of brothers against brothers is waging, a battle of steel and iron as much as a conflict of will.

This inter-dimensional dual is reduced to the dual of two Astartes from both sides of the line. The Chaotic one seems to have the upper hand, but what when memories hidden within his brain for ten millennia shock his very soul, and his whole spirit seems to rebel against what he is just doing? Yes, what impossibly awful thing is he doing, what self-destructive insanity has taken him to such heights of madness?
To kill a brother. Why?

Le sujet me semblait bien à la base mais en regardant bien, j'ai la forte impression qu'en fait c'est un petit peu la même chose que " Géhenna " dry.gif

Extrait:

HIS CHAINSWORD SINGING in the air, the killer looked for the next man mad enough to respond to his bloodthirstiness. It took no more than a second, since madness had filled every soul on the battlefield, and was now guiding the savage pandemonium it had become. The teeth of his blade laughed in a predator roar as he looked at his new prey, the sword’s endless thirst soon to be satisfied.
His Mark VII power armour covered in ashes and dust, his left shoulder guard made of molten iron and his helmet torn apart by what must have been a luckily-missed deathblow, the loyalist Astartes was badly wounded.
Still, his battle-glaive was pointed at the Chaos Marine in an obvious gesture of defiance.
Foolish, foolish man.
‘In the name of the Emperor, beloved by all,’ the loyalist spat. ‘And by the will of the High Marshall Helbrecht, I will break you and send your soul back to the warp.’
The Chaos Marine heard the pain in his words, but he also felt the inner rage which was burning through the veins of the False Emperor’s servitor, a rage that made him resist against the death that was lurking within his many wounds.
He sighed.
‘You fool,’ he replied.
He had been as unmoved as a statue as the Black Templar threatened him and his only answer before the glaive that was coming at him was scorn.
‘You blind fool’ he pursued, his voice venomous. ‘You can barely walk. Any blow of this sword will rip your skull open. Don’t make me laugh with your threats. You are no match against me.’
But the blind man was also deaf and the Chaos Marine became suddenly alive as his enemy ran to him, his glaive raised.
Even more stupid than I thought!
As he had expected, the first blow was struck downwards, designed to slash through his helmet in a head half-splitting strike, though the evidence of such a move made him ask himself whether it was supposed to kill a training servitor or a genetically enhanced Astartes.
He simply side-stepped and, as the glaive went loose, kicked the loyalist in the chest. He watched him writhe in pain as he smashed him with the hilt of his sword, sending him to the ground with contemptuous ease.
‘You are not even worth of this blade,’ he said, letting his chainsword fall in a loud clang as its teeth bit the dust.
Grabbing his opponent by the collar, he stared at him.
‘Let me see your eyes.’
The spiked gauntlet struck like thunder and the loyalist’s helmet cried in agony as the Chaos Marine inhuman strength tore it open.
The face hidden behind it revealed – though it was now bones and flesh molten together, tears and blood flowing in rivers of gore through its ruined features.
‘Damn you-’
‘Already done,’ snapped the Chaos Marine.
He punched him again, feeling an unaccountable choler rising within his soul.
It was a cold, insidious feeling that made the pulse of his rotten heart quicken. His blood became suddenly hot and he cried in fury as caustic pain overwhelmed him, taking his soul to new heights of suffering he did not even imagine.
The image of the corpse-like Black Templar soon faded in front of him and the whole world began to blur. Colours were disappearing as if the battlefield had been a giant painting now exposed to the rain, the pictures disintegrating as water was pouring over them.
The universe was sinking and he felt himself sink with it.
The deafening noise of steel against steel softened.
Then silence fell.
‘What is happening-’

He lost all ability to speak as a familiar form loomed before him.

Pas eu le temps de le relire, balance le, ton niveau d'anglais est assez bon pour pouvoir éventuellement passer. Enfin je dis ça, c'est ce que j'en pense...
